An anonymous discussion board with no accounts, where every message is saved as a Git commit.
Chorus is an open-source, anonymous discussion engine built with a Go backend and a React frontend. Instead of persistent accounts, profiles, and ranking algorithms, it assigns thread-scoped temporary identities and persists every thread and message as cryptographically verifiable Git commits.
Chorus replaces conventional social mechanics (accounts, likes, followers, algorithmic feeds) with chronological, thread-scoped anonymous discourse. Every thread creation and message append is written as a native Git commit, substituting traditional opaque databases with an audit-proof, cryptographically verifiable object history.
Key Highlights
- Zero persistent accounts — temporary identities scoped exclusively to individual threads.
- Persistence engine leveraging Git's content-addressable and cryptographically verifiable commit history model.
- No likes, upvotes, follower counts, or feed ranking algorithms — pure chronological discourse.
- Open-source architecture built with Go 1.22 and React 19 / TypeScript.
